Hans Baldung Grien (1480–1545) part 2: Sorcery and Ritual nudity

For other Baldung's works see my previous post

Ritual nudity in Witchcraft ceremonies was one of the most ancient paganist practices. They are fertility and sexuality initiations, orgies and ecstatic states of mind that they were condidered evil later, beside other witchcraft practices, so they were strictly banned and persecuted by Christian Inquisition during the darkest period of human civilization and the complete fall of Reason. The term "Skyclad":"covered or dressed by sky", was a concept that is used even today in neopaganism, nudism/naturism, etc.
