Concerning the two albums and the criticism about the change of Metallica's music, I think that they tried to explore their style to other genres. The result was very good in my opinion. Bad was their celebrity arrogance, and their anethical attacks to music file sharing sites.

A great concept album about earth destruction by humans through a sci-fi story. Ayreon is a musical project by Dutch composer and musician Arjen Anthony Lucassen. Ayreon's music is mostly heavy metal and progressive rock but combines them with genres like folk, classical and electronica.
